Is this word search maker really free?
Yes. Type your words, make as many puzzles as you like, print them or save them as PDF from the print dialog. No signup, no watermark.
How many words can I use?
As many as fit the grid. Words need 3+ letters and can be as long as the grid is wide (up to 20 letters on the largest grid). If a word cannot be placed cleanly, the page tells you which one and why instead of silently dropping it.
Does it make an answer key?
Yes. Tick "Show answer key" to highlight every word, and the printout includes the answer key on its own page.
Why "each word appears exactly once"?
Random letters can accidentally spell a word a second time, so a solver circles one copy and the answer key shows the other. Every puzzle here is re-checked after it is built, and regenerated if any word can be found twice.
Can I sell the puzzles I make?
